Atletico de Madrid keeps the first position in the table after the matchday eight followed by a group of five teams separated by a margin of just three points. It seems that Atleico along with Real Madrid, Sevilla FC, FC Barcelona, Villarreal and Athletic want to make this season more interesting than previous ones.

UD Las Palmas 0 – RCD Espanyol 0

Goalless draw in Gran Canaria Stadium in a match that Las Palmas dominated from the beginning of the game until the end, but without creating clear goal chances. Espanyol did nothing to obtain any reward, so a point was a big gift for Quique Flores team.

CD Leganes 2 – Sevilla FC 3

An outstanding goal of the spanish playmaker Sarabia broke the losing streak away from Sevilla a year and a half later. In addition, this action stopped the comeback of the south Madrid team, which in just three minutes had managed to draw an adverse 0-2

FC Barcelona 4 – Deportivo Coruña 0

Two goals from Rafinha, one of Luis Suarez and another one from Messi, who came back after his injury, gave FC Barcelona an easy win against Deportivo at the Camp Nou. The argentinian magician needed just three minutes on the ground to made his goal.

Atletico Madrid 7 – Granada 1

Isaac Cuenca scored for Granada an amazing goal in the 17th minute, but three goals Carrasco closed the game for Atletico. Gaitan (2), Tiago and Correa joined the belgian festival with their goals.

Real Betis 1 – Real Madrid 6

Real Madrid showed their best face at Benito Villamarin Stadium and they won an easy match with goals of Varane, Benzema, Marcelo, Isco (2) and Cristiano Ronaldo. Cejudo pulled one back in the start of the second half for Betis.

Dep. Alaves 1 – Malaga CF 1

Basques and andalusians shared a point in a balanced match. Deyverson and Rosales made the goals. The venezuelan scored one of the goals of the week with a long distance shot.

Athletic Bilbao 3 – Real Sociedad 2

The goals from Muniain, Aduriz and Williams gave the Basque derby to the locals. Zurutuza and Iñigo Martinez scored for the Txuriurdin squad in a match that was totally dominated for Los Leones right after the first goal of the Real Sociedad.

Sporting Gijon 1 – Valencia CF 2

Sporting imposed a high pace as their principal strategy, but Valencia took advantage of a dead-ball situation and on a defensive error to gain the three points in the first victory of Cesare Prandelli as a new manager of the Che squad. Mario Suarez, twice, and Carlos Castro were the scorers of the match.

Villarreal 5 – Celta Vigo 0

Villarreal, that from the first minutes dominated the match, got an unexpected and large victory against Celta Vigo. Soriano twice, Bakambu, Wass (OG) and Trigueros made the goals.

SD Eibar 2 – CA Osasuna 3

Two goals from Sergio Leon overcame an early goal from Escalante. Sergi Enrich equalized before the break. However Roberto Torres tipped the balance for Osasuna with a goal in the 58th minute and conceded the navarros their first victory of the season.
