After eight years in the North Rhine-Westphalia club, 2 leagues, 1 Cup, 2 Supercups and 1 Champions League final, the german stopper has decided to join his former club: Bayern Munich.

The defender has talked about it:

“This is a decision that, after eight and a half successful years at Dortmund, I didn´t take easily”. “I´ve always been proud, and still am, to wear the Dortmund shirt and to be a part of this extraordinary team”. “Before I return to to my home city we have one big goal to achieve: to win the German Cup and to have a big party with the BVB-fans”. “I thank all the people from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful time in black-and-yellow.”

Hummels is the third Dortmund player in the last four years to join Bayern Munich directly after Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski. The Bavarians have completed a five years deal for the  player, who will move to Munich next season 2016-2017. Hummels transfer fee will be somewhere in the €35MILL – €40MILL.
