The head of the worl football, FIFA, has imposed a transfer ban to the spanish clubs for the next two market windows

The ban is the same one that FC Barcelona payed already for not obeying rules regarding foreign-born youth players, playing in the Academies of the spanish clubs. Both Los Blancos and Los Colchoneros will not be allowed from registering any players at national and international level for the next two complete and consecutive registration periods.

The interdicts were lifted months ago thanks to a pending appeals but now FIFA has rejected appeals of Madrid clubs in relation to the transfers of minors. Also, Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid have been penalized with €820.000 and €328.000 respectively. Both clubs have been issued with a rebuke and a notice and given 90 days in which to regularise the situation of all youth players concerned.

The lawyers of Atletico and Real have the option of appealing to the CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport), and get some time to allow them to delay the ban until the summer of 2017 and then make use of the upcoming winter transfer window.
